Upland, San Bernardino County
Upland was the upper end of the Ontario colony and went by the name North Ontario until 1902, taking its present name from a local citrus growers association. Lemon and orange groves once ran from the town to the foot of the mountains. At Euclid Avenue and Foothill Boulevard stands the Madonna of the Trail, a 1929 monument to pioneer women.
